One of the most importnant parts of your fridge, yet often one of the most overlooked. The Water Filter in your Fridge ensures that your water is pure and free from contaminants and particles. You can often tell the difference that filtered water makes when you make a cup of tea and try the following: after adding the teabag, take a look at the colour of the water, and you'll see that filtered tea is a light brown with a clear appearance, yet unfiltered tea is a very dark brown colour, almost black. It is the contaiminants in the water that is producting the black colour, not the tea itself.

For this and many other reasons, using a good water filter on your fridge is the only way you can be sure to remove the contaminants. You also have to replace them regularly to ensure good operation, as they can become clogged within a few months, or even weeks.
