Thermostats control the heating aspect of your Whirlpool Tumble Dryer. The thermostat senses what temperature is inside the dryer, and regulates it accordingly. If it is faulty, your dryer may be either too hot, or too cold. If you are experiencing either of these symptoms then you may need a new thermostat.
